AIEEE 2007 Cutoff
Have a look at the actual ranks obtained based on marks for AIEEE 2007 :
And yes coming to institute wise cutoffs..Here they are:NITs : 8,000(First Counseling) to 12,000 (Second Counseling)
DA-IICT(Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Commutation) : 8,000
Jaypee institute, Noida : 23,000(Last year,will be higher this year)
Thapar Institute, Patiala : 20,000(Punjab Quota) 13,000(Outside Punjab)
I really cannot say about the cutoffs of IIITs and Delhi College of Engineering.

Well someone had posted last year cut-off for DCE last year but I accidentally deleted it..
He had got it bang on target..It was around 500 AIR rank for Mech and upto 1000 AIR rank for lower branches..

Hey Ankur, today’s the 28th… hope your prediction is true. Though CBSE is also releasing its 10th standard results today and tomorrow. That kinda decreases the chances that te AIEEE result will be anytime before the 30th. Lets see though.

hey guyz!….have a look at d last 7 years dce cutoffs:
2000 – 305/720
2001 – 390/720
2002 – 335/720
2003 – 435/720
2004 – 370/720
2005 – 400/720
2006 – 390/720
well as u all can see dat d cutoff’s fluctuate quite unevenly evry year….so no one can quite predict dis year’s cutoff…..but dis year d ppr was definitely tuffer dan last year….so accordin to me d cutoff wud be around 380…..what say?

I am also surprised the way CBSE is releasing results this year…They took 4 days after 12th results to declare class 10th result which is unusual..
AIEEE result date is unpredictable seeing CBSE activity this year…I am also eagerly waiting for the results..

I am expecting AIEEE marks around 175. what will be my rank? Will I get Mechanical in any NIT? What is the difficulty level of BITSAT? How do you rate IIIT allahabad? My rank in VIT is 13951, Is there any chance of getting into it?

@175 you will definitely get a good NIT in 2nd counseling atleast..
BISAT paper is easy but speed and accuracy matter a lot…
IIIT is a very good college…
You will get a NIT in AIEEE which is better than VIT..

Really dunno about CUSAT cutoff rank but 7k seems pretty far off to expect to get in..
Cochin univ. is very good…Infact it had been selected to be converted into an IIT but later HRD ministry later decided not to convert universities but rather open new IITs..

Ankur, which is a better option: Chemical in Goa or Civil in Goa or Electronics in NIT Trichy ? I dont have any fixed likes or dislikes and am open to all. Moreover, what branches can I expect in IIT with 220 after clearing all cutoffs? What branches in the top 5 IITs, that is. Lastly, is it true that NIT Warangal is going to be upgraded to an IIT in 2 yrs time? Pls answer all the above questions.

NIT trichy is best but BITS emerges as winer..If you plan to go abroad after studying then take Chemical or civil in BITS Goa coz BITS has much more recognition outside India..but if you will stay in india then EC in trichy is also good..tough decison..
You will lower branches in IIT like chemical and stuff…
Dunno about NIT, Warrangal being converted into IIT..

i m now in 4rth yr NIT Silchar….doing ELE…and i fing that u ppl havnt seen the near to corect list of rankings of all india institutes….both GVMT and PVT
silchar may be lying in remote corner of our country but the environment (if a person is really not serious about his career) i bad any were/any insti in india let alone at iit’s
well even in this 1 u wud fing that PEC THAPAR are placed at better locations…well thts because of their overall placement, industrial collabs, profs doing various projs, industrial interface of students and their industrial involvement…. its not by the food culture..or by the how much good/bad living area…or say how many comforts the student shall get….in that insti

well we ppl already at the NIT’s and the ones who have passed out of the NIT’s(REC’s) reallykno what their value is …. for u its jus at this point of time its good to take admm into the bes insti by the rank that suits u the best…
rather not always ppl with the best insti in their hands get the best jobs..or do really good for the country …and same way ppl with not so wel to do insti do much more than xpected…
again this doesnt happn all the time does it…..
so all my wishes to U as well as all who hav writen AIEEE IITJEE BITSAT CEE and all other exams…to grab the best seat possible….
my opinion
—>1. forego ur dream branch…but dont forgo the best insti if u dnt hav that confidence in the rank u secure
—>2. grab ur dream brach in any INSTI (no mater GVMT/PVT) if u have full confidence n determination for ur future in that field
—>3. look at the above 2 points

mind u i hv said already the insti listed above are based on
Placements, Infrastructure, Intellectual Capital, Industry Interface, Institute Response, HR Response, overall score
as this is 2-1/2 yrs old..and placements of the NITs have shot up …mainly in NIT SILCHAR we have almost 50-60% recuited by 6th sem and 110-160% recruited by 7th semester…every yr from 2006 onvards hence u can be sure that this rating may hav undergone only minor changes…few ups few downs but wat soever the isti’s are all somewere /- 5(max) ranks from their current position shown
