AIEEE 2009 Cutoff  


The AIEEE 2009 paper was held all across the country on 26th April 2009. All the details regarding the paper along with the expected AIEEE 2009 cutoff will be posted right here after the exam. Initial reactions from students indicate that there was a major change in the pattern of the paper taking them by surprise. Also Maths was the toughest according to many. Check out the comments!

The total marks of the AIEEE 2009 paper were 432. Each section had 30 questions with 90 in total. There were 6 questions of 8 marks each and 24 questions of 4 marks each. The 4 mark questions had -1 mark for incorrect answer while the 8 mark questions had -2 marks for incorrect answer.

The final cutoff has been uploaded after some major changes, the first one was too liberal as I soon figured out after posting it. This should be closer to the actual ranks one can expect in AIEEE 2009.

    Definately tougher… 15 questions less and still it was race against time.. so yeah, toughness level was up.
    And questions worth 8 marks! i didnt understand the idea behind this, i felt no difference between 8 markers and 4 markers in physics and chem…
    Maths was not so doable… So i think, maths will decide the cutoff… and people getting major marks through 8 markers will be lucky.

    paper was tough.. cut off will be difficult to predict as marking scheme was different for diff questions. but.. 180-200 for 10,000 and below ?.. uh.. what say ?

    Maybe, .. or maybe 210-230 for 10,000 thats more logical..
    will have to wait to know how many marks people are getting to get that estimate…

    My paper was miserable(as I didn’t touch the extra topics in the syllabus) but I think due to the tremendous competition,cut-offs cud b high & may be many students will score highly

    The question paper was quiet tough! chemistry was easy! physics was ok! Maths was tough! i agree with Arpit that maths will be the decider!

    I think those peolple are seriously nuts who say maths was easier than chemistry. I don’t intend to rebuke them but why not wait till the solutions are out.

    Math was def d tuffest… chem was d easiest… phys was balanced… but I dont understand, in phys and chem, the 8 mk quests wer as easy as the 4 mk… whats d logic here?
