Zen Estilo Mileage
Its been over 3 months now since I purchased Zen Estilo.I have managed to drive it around for over 2500Kms now and after its first servicing which was about a couple of months back the car is giving an average/mileage of around 18kmpl with normal unleaded fuel.With petrols of higher octane number like Xtra Premium etc. I have managed to extract a mileage of 20kmpl..
These numbers clealy signify that Zen Estilo beats its competitors ie. mainly Santro Xing and Wagon R which have a mileage of around 15.5kmpl and 16kmpl respectively.The tweaking that the Maruti engineers have done with the engine has certainly helped along with improved aerodynamics.
IÂ also managed to experience the A/C of the car as it continues to become sultry hot here in Delhi while I write this down :).The A/C works like a charm and cools the car in a matter of about 4-5 mins. The average with air conditioning on is about 17kmpl with Xtra Premium on the city roads.On highways I am pretty sure that it can go upto 18.5kmpl.
So Zen Estilo has clearly emerged the winner in both performance and economy segments in the small car or the budget car category.With Chevrolet Spark coming up and the proposed 1-Lac car by the Tatas, it remains to be seen for how long can it maintain that tag.

I’ve been using an Estilo Vxi past 3 months. Did about 2500 kms. The drive has been fairly comfortable. The balance of power and the ability to manouver Chennai traffic has been excellent - just what I wanted.
A question on the mileage front - I haven’t been able to get more than 12 kmpl with regular petrol. One reason could be the traffic snarls of Chennai, but I’d also like to be sure of my driving skills, given that this is my first car.
What do you think is the ideal speed at each gear position on a flat road?

ZEN ESTILO AVERAGE , I M NOT SURE ALTHOUGH I BOUGHT THE NEW CAR JUST 15 DAYS BACK AND I M GETTING AROUND 8-9 KMPL AVERAGE IN CITY ROADS.

I bought Estilo in oct-07, and nearing 4000kms. I am getting a mileage of 10 average in chennai roads. Other features and comforts are better than few/most of the cars in the same segment. I am not sure if my estilo will improve to give me 16-17 kms.

I have purchaged ZEN Estilo one month back,
i could able to get 12KMPL & if AC is ON just it is drinking the petrol, i’m not sure is it may be due to driving skill or road condition, please any one help me out if they are sure about the average of it.
