BITSAT 2008

BITSAT 2008 registrations are now open and you can apply online or through BITSAT form which can be obtained from post.You can apply online for BITSAT through the official BITS admission site.The last date to apply online is 31st January 2008 5.00 PM and the last date for form request through post is 21st January 2008.
BITSAT 2008 will be a three hour duration paper which will be held at BITSAT centers which spread all across India.The scheduled dates for tests are 9th May 2008 to 12th June 2008 which means you can select any of the date in between those for giving your paper.
The test consists of four parts:
Part I : Physics (40 Questions)
Part II : Chemistry (40 Questions)
Part III : (a) English Proficiency(15 Questions) and (b) Logical Reasoning (10 Questions)
Part IV : Mathematics OR Biology (45 Questions)
Thus there will be 150 questions in total and each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark. No marks are awarded for not attempted questions.

Only students who are giving their 10+2 examinations in 2008 and who have given their 10+2 examination in 2007 are eligible for BITSAT 2008.
The fees for applying online is Rs. 800 for male candidates and Rs. 400 for female candidates.
The fees for applying through post is Rs. 900 for male candidates and Rs. 500 for female candidates.
BITS Pilani,Hyderabad Campus will also start its admissions this year.

i got 249 in bitsat 2008…..my overall aggregate in +2 cbse was 81% and the aggregate in science subjects was 76%…..i had taken biology instead of maths in BITSAT. do stand a chance n M.Sc. Biological sciences and B.harma in any of the BITs including hyderabad. it is very urgent…

374 in BITSAT…mostly you should get anything that you want in any campus.
286 in BITSAT…i dont think you will get BE (Hons) in Pilani…there is a slim chance of getting BE in goa and a fair enough chance Hyd.
for the PCMB guy…the computer will allow you to sit in the exam no matter what. the tst and your board marks are not combined now…they are done later while allotting seats.
people in 230-240’s can think of getting something in hyd…tc

I appeared CBSE XII taking PCMB. I applied for bitsat 2008 and filled Maths option. The results of CBSE are out and I find that I qualify for the 80% requirement only in PCB. I would like to know whether the computerised test paper will have both maths & bio and will give me the option of answering PCB although I did not opt for Bio in the application filled.
