As the BITSAT 2008 exams have just begun , it will take me some time to gather data to comment on the expected cut-off scores for BITSAT 2008, but as BITS Hyderabad is starting this year, the overall cutoff for BITSAT 2008 will definitely fall.
If you have already given the exam, then post a comment regarding the difficulty.
You can check out other details regarding BITSAT 2008 exam.
As you can see from various comments the level of difficulty this year has been a bit on the higher side but as seats are increasing in quite a lot of institutions the cutoffs are likely to remain same or drop down depending on seat increase.
So to know what you can get just look at the previous year cutoffs posted here and get an idea on what you can expect. I expect the branch cutoffs to go down by about 5 marks than those mentioned above.
Also about the Hyderabad Campus, its cutoffs will of course be lower, individual branch cutoffs marks are hard to predict but I would say something around 255-260 should be the overall cutoff for the Hyderabad Campus.

somebody called akhil told that BITS will publish the no. of students in ranges 325-300, etc after the tests finish on 12th June. the tests have finished yet no such thing can be found…..my BITS score is 304, will I get MECH , PILANI after all trhe iterations??

I found ur site is very realistic, useful and pragmatic.well, my bitsat score is 311 and claim one question in mathematics.I am sure of getting 3 marks for that.But my has not been updated. When it will be updated.Can remind them through e-mail. Pl.guide me.What are the possible branches I may end up with after I to V iteration from pilani to Hyd via Goa.Please reply.I have to fill my online form for bitsat.

dear sir,
i have got air 3521 in iit this year acc. to the counselling brochure, i shall surely get some branch at the iits(not it-bhu and ismu) but it will be the worst of the lot…..also i have manipal and aieee and dce(hopefully!!) as backups where i’ll get good branches . in such a situation should i opt for iit just for the brand name or for a good branch. i am keen on pursuing mba after engg. pls guide me how to proceed..

i gave bitsat on 23rd may and got 434 marks , 149 correct and 13 wrong , but got only 78.6% marks in CBSE boards,
is there any chance of deduction in 80% scheme ,

Sir, why is there no reply after 25th May. Much has happened after that. We are very eager to know about your estimated BITSAT cut-off now. My score is 289. Can I expect to get any BE or M.Sc dual in any campus. What are my chances in % terms. In fact, yr reply is important for us as this is the only forum we get some real estimates. Great work 1

i got AIR 2963 in IIT, a BITSAT score of 348 and AIR 343 in AIEEE.my options consist of settling for metallurgy in IIT Roorkee,possibly Electronics in Pilani, and CS in IIIT Hyderabad or DCE through AIEEE.i eventually plan to do MBA after btech.is it better to pursue weaker branches in IIT just for the brand name rather than better ones in BITS or IIIT Hyd.??

as soon as test finish…bits will announce the no of students in particular ranges..like how many in 425 - 250
then how many in 400-425, 375-400, 350-375 and so on…so that will give u a fair idea of where u stand

it all depends on what coll u consider better….dual at bits is equivalent to be courses..only diff being its 5 years and u get two degrees….so if thnk bits pilani is better then bit mesra then go to bits…. dun wry abt dual…its only flaw is that it is 5 year bt then u get 2 degrees

My AIEEE 2008 rank is 4912 (A.P rank 1010). BITSAT score is 267. What are the likely courses that I can get in BITS, Goa & Hyderabad campuses ? Shd. I prefer
NIT/Wgl or Sutkl - MEC over dual degree in BITS? Pls. compare between DAIICT, LNMIT & other NITs.

well karthik sinvcerly speaking ne course at bits is better than ne course at srm at ur score u can get good course at bits..if u wanna go for aeronautical then opt for mech at pilani or goa (hyd no idea how mech will be ) and sit for gre..(believe me gre seems damn easy once u rin bits :P)….what i believe is that specialization shld be at post grad only even if u wanna go for srm go for core then specialization

have not qualified for iit and getting too low in aieee but selected in srm at 973 rank but its too costly.

hi……cud u please help me…….i got 16,407 in aieee.haryana state rank is 630.i may get nit kurukshetra there are 540 seats in it………i cn get in jaypee noida , sastra thanjavur n i got 884 in srm-chennai……248 in bitsat though i doubt i will clear evn for hyderabad…..shud i chose srm over jaypee?? im really confused bcuz srm’s counsellin is on 12th june before i find out about NIT….
