IIT JEE 2009 exam held all across India today was given by lakhs of students. There have been mixed reports from students regarding the paper while some have called it tougher and lengthier than last year paper, the others have found it easy. Maths was certainly the toughest part and everyone agrees on that.

While last year’s cutoff for general category was 180 marks (AIR 6773), this time it would almost remain same as paper was bit easier and seats are also being increased. The final expected cutoff for IIT JEE 2009 is now published below. Check your expected ranks from the table below.

I am not touching upon the cutoff for Extended Merit List which would obviously be greater than 10,000. Please DO NOT ask what rank you can expect for given marks as the table has been published for that specific purpose only. Other queries are definitely welcome and I would try to answer as many as possible.
