IIT JEE 2009 Cutoff
IIT JEE 2009 exam held all across India today was given by lakhs of students. There have been mixed reports from students regarding the paper while some have called it tougher and lengthier than last year paper, the others have found it easy. Maths was certainly the toughest part and everyone agrees on that.
While last year’s cutoff for general category was 180 marks (AIR 6773), this time it would almost remain same as paper was bit easier and seats are also being increased. You can check out the IIT JEE 2009 Solutions from various institutes across India. The expected cutoff for IIT JEE 2009 should be around 175. The final expected cutoff for IIT JEE 2009 is now published below. Check your expected ranks from the table below.

I am not touching upon the cutoff for Extended Merit List which would obviously be greater than 10,000. Please DO NOT ask what rank you can expect for given marks as the table has been published for that specific purpose only. Other queries are definitely welcome and I would try to answer as many as possible.

Sir, i want to know what may be the cutoff of sc category,how were they enrolled in iits last year?
I had also filled TS Chanakya.
I had found in the newspapers that the cutoff of SC cat. keep on decreasing and a student scoring 50 was enrolled IS IT TRUE?
Am also an SC student,expecting some 70s in the exam.

I am expecting 243. Subject-wise I am expecting 98 in chem, 86 in Phy and 59 in Maths. Will I clear subject wise cut-off.Then what rank can I expect. Will it be good to get CSE in new IITs.

sir i used to get 300+ in ramiah 300+ in all fiitjee mocks 330+ in all brilliant mocks and in almost all the mocks iused to get above 98 percentile.All of a sudden on jee day because of tension i could not fair so well and so i am getting only 162 marks as per bansal classes.All my efforts are wasted in a single day one more question why iit people changing their pattern withoutinformation this is bad on their part

well sir i am an OBC candidate and scoring a total of 163 in the JEE 2009. Sir see up to you to comment on my possibility of selection, as your estimations have always been a round corner i can trust you to a great extent!!!!
No matter what so ever branch i get in IITs i just want to enter into them no matter new or old, and if not then what are the chances to the EML as i have in my mind 2-3 institutions from the EML list also!!!!!!!

hmmm i am a dropper & obc(ncl) candidate.my score in jee is 215-230.plz tell me my poss obc rank .what wud be the best course i can get in iit bomb in btech or dual degree.besides the 7 old iits.are the new iits recommended.
