I’m not at all satisfied with this product. Because as sriram said, after using few months (14-15 months) my mother crashed and with in soon time of repair my hard disk crashed. And then now it is giving lots of problems. If I start my system then after booting process, System will automatically displays blue screen with some message and it will restart with blank screen. So I need to swith off the laptop and then I need to restart it once again.

I strongly suggest you people to not buy these type worst laptops.

I bought this laptop on 15-July-2007 and was very satisfied with it. Recently my laptop crashed and didn’t wanted to boot.
Later when i searched on the net, i came to know that there is a design flaw in al the DV6000 series laptops.

The motherboard starts giving problems after use of approximately 14 – 15 months.

Search on google and you will find that there has been a Law Suit filed against HP for this as millions of users are facing this problem.

I bought this in India and now am in USA. The laptop is dead now and i don have any choice as i can’t get it serviced in USA as it is brought in India.

I need to send it to India or buy a new one.

don’t buy DV6000 series laptops.

i just wanted to know where i can sell my pc? although my monitor and keyboard are old…i have got my cpu upgraded just 1 yr back..bt my father wants to sell it back and buy me a laptop instead…so kindly notify me with the place where i can get a good deal!!

First of all thanks for the great review it makes someone proud owner. of DV6516tx.. I bought it last year say september 07 it cost me 58,000 rs and i didnt receive any of the freebis … apart from that I wanted to ask I have a problem related to webcam it works in quick play sometimes and sometimes in various chat messengers and sometimes it doesnt work at all please help thnks
