Finally speed upgraded to 2mbps!
It was a pleasant surprise this morning when I connected to my net and found that I was getting blazing speeds for a change…256kbps had become more of a dialup speed after I had been using it for over 20 months.
I suddenly jumped up with joy and opened the internet speedometer from MTNL’s site and voila!…1.8mbps speed…
I was sure that MTNL site always gave inflated results…so to confirm it I downloaded the 4.94 MB windows defender setup from Microsoft’s site..and to my surprise it completed in just 23 seconds!
So finally my speed has been upgraded to 2mbps…but the sad part was that MTNL is not going to increase the data limits on its plans at the moment.
So it turns out that this speed upgrade means more cash in MTNL’s pocket and a cunning way to attract customers.

does it give constant 2 mbps……….my bsnl plan varies between 256 kbps.

which plan do u have amit?
if you have unlimited plan then you will get 256 kbps at max but if you have ne other plan then you will get speed upto 2mbps…
I get a constant speed of 1.8mbps…
