How To Create VCC Using HDFC Netsafe
HDFC Bank is one of the better private sector banks that we have in India. My experience with them has been good till now. Now what got me interested in this bank was the Netsafe facility that the bank offers. The Netsafe facility allows you to create Virtual Credit Cards online which can be used like normal credit cards for shopping on the net.You can also verify your Paypal account using HDFC Netsafe service, instructions at bottom.
With this facility you do not need to expose your actual credit/debit card number online and hence be assured of piece of mind. To get started you need to have a HDFC Bank account and a HDFC Debit Card or a HDFC Bank Credit card.
Step 1: Open Netsafe service website
Go to the Netsafe service by visiting this link on the HDFC website and then click Login to Netsafe
Step 2: Register for Netsafe service.
You need to register for Netsafe service in order to use it.
Step 3: Click on I Accept button to continue.
Step 4: Enter your Credit/Debit Card number and expiry details and click Submit.
Step 5: Enter your PIN number and click Submit.
Step 6: Enter your mobile number, secret text and other personal details.
Step 7: Enter a unique username and password for your account. Your account is now set up.
Step 8: Login to Netsafe service.
Step 9: Enter the amount of the VCC you want to create in the Limit column and click Go.
Step 10: You will then be presented with the Virtual Credit Card details which you have to use within 24 hours.
How to view the transaction details after using the VCC:
Step 1: Visit the All Accounts/Services link on the home page of Netsafe service.
Step 2: Click on Txn. Details button at the bottom and you will be presented with the transaction details.
You can also verify your Paypal account using the HDFC Netsafe service by using the same process above and creating a VCC of say 100 bucks which you will use in your Paypal account to verify. After adding the VCC in your Paypal account check the expunse number in the transaction details.

“We were unable to verify this credit card. Please check if the information you entered is correct. If the problem persists, please try to enter a different credit card.”

I am also unable to get verified using HDFC NetSafe card. I get the error message:
“We were unable to verify this credit card. Please check if the information you entered is correct. If the problem persists, please try to enter a different credit card.”
If you have used it to verify your PayPal account, please tell us the details.

HDFC Bank Netsafe has been banned by paypal & almost all international transaction
As per new rule Online transaction which are done in Indian Rs are valid and can be done by HDFC Netsafe accounts
